Is the EIC Accelerator the right funding instrument?

• Is your company an SME/start-up (or small mid-cap)?
• Does your company develop disruptive, high-risk innovations that have the potential to create new markets or disrupt existing markets?
• Is your innovation a deep-tech solution that results from a longer development phase and, in the best case, represents a technological breakthrough?
• Has your innovation completed at least Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5 ("Technology verified in relevant environment") at the time of application?
• Is the development high risk?
• Are the rights to the innovation secured?
• Have you clarified IP issues and can you submit an FTO analysis with the full application?
• Do you have a strong commercialisation strategy and are you committed to it?
• Is your innovation scalable?
• Are investors interested in your innovation?
• Are you open to external capital?
• Can you convincingly demonstrate the “need for European Union support"?
• Is your company pursuing a growth strategy?
• Is the team committed to growth? For example, is there someone in the team with many years of international sales experience (or are there plans to fill any skill gaps)?
• Is there a plan to involve the team in the company's success?
